Puppy training? Is this ok to do?
My friend was over the other day who has a cat and says when it was young her family would squirt it with a water bottle if it went on the counters or kitchen table etc. She suggested I try with my puppy who is about 3 months old when he bites or does anything bad. It wouldnt hurt him or anything. Just annoy him feeling the water so he knows not to do what he just did anymore. Its not cruel or anything is it? And do you think itll work?
yes its ok to do. my bro has a black lab and he likes to chew up shoes when im watching him. i dont like to spank him or anything for being naughty so i got a water bottle and put plain water in it. when he grabs a shoe i squirt it in his face 1 or two times he drops it and dont re grab it. i have tryied it when he run out on me and he stops and wont go near the door if im watching him unles on a leash. it does work it safe and wont hurt him. just might make him hate water playing and baths but all my dogs has hated baths.he will still drink water just wont want play in it
