can German Shepherds and Jack Russells live together?
i currently have a Jack Russell(female) that is 3years old and female and i really want to get a german shepherd that is still a puppy.
my jack russell barks at every dog that walks past. mneighborur has a trained Sussex Spaniel X (i think)(Female) and my dog digs holes under the fence and visits this dog every so often. they seem to get along sniffing each other ansometimeses jumping and getting scared from each other.
i want to get a Male pup german shepherd.
Generally, if you bring a puppy into the home with an older dog, the puppy will be submissive the and older dog dominant, no matter what the size. But, dogs are individuals and often times dogs hit it off and are friendly right away, other times, they simply tolerate the other’s existence. There’s just no accounting for taste sometimes. Also, your JRT is still fairly young and it seems to be that the younger your dog is when you introduce a new pup, the better the chances are that they will get along.
