My new puppy has separation anxiety, but only when I leave her with other people?
She’s crate trained and does just fine when I leave in the morning, but if I leave her to run an errand with someone in my house (i.e. family, friend, etc), she cries, barks, and waits by the door until I return. She’ll even bark at the person I left her with if they try and calm her down. There are times where I’ll need to leave her with my parents while out of town and I’m nervous that she won’t react well. She’s a 6 month old shelter dog and is already very attached to me. Suggestions?
Yep, I agree with the other answer. Eventually she’ll get better. My daughter’s boxer was that way too, but has gotten much better over time.
