Any ideas of what puppy to get?
I would like the dog to grow to be no more than about 20lbs at the most. I would prefer shorter hair that won’t have to be trimmed by a dog groomer. I’m not big on “sissy” dogs but as long as they aren’t yappy I wouldn’t mind one. I have a large back yard and would be able to walk a dog daily. I would also like the dog to be smart enough that it is easy to train and housebreak. Any suggestions? Ive looked at miniature poodles but I’m not crazy about the grooming upkeep. I’ve looked at beagles but I’m concerned about their hunting tendencies and the possibility of it chasing an animal too far. I’ve also looked at puggles but I’m concerned that they will come with some of the respiratory problems that dogs with shorter snouts tend to have. Basically I need a dog that is pretty low maintenance and will be a happy companion for me. Please give me some ideas!
