Boxer puppy question:?

I am housetraining and crate training my boxer puppy but I am lost on how to handle or what do you do when the puppy has an accident in the house? Do you immediately take him outside, or do you put him in the Crate?? I have read many books and both are suggestions, anyone have a better idea/suggestion? There is alwasy someone at my house to take him outside in the mornings, after every meal, and almost after every nap. Obviously they have accidents, but what is the best way to teach him not to do that? Is it something that is just gonna happen until he learns the ropes? just curious

The best thing IF you catch him in the act is to make a loud noise to get his attention and yell OUSIDE! Don’t spank him b/c accidents do happen. Also, Pups need to go out MIN in AM, after breakfast, once durring day, when you get home, after dinner and at least 2 times before bed. Also, make sure the cage is just big enough for him to lay down in. Any more room and he can try to pee in the corner. If crate is Bigger, you can fill gallon sized water jugs and place them at the back to make the crate “grow” with him. Be patient and always praise for a job well done. Oh, dont forget to SEPARATE pee time and play time. This means when you let him out, only for a few minutes at a time, repeat key words, go potty, and if nothing, bring him in and put him BACK in crate. When he starts to whine, take outside ASAP. Repeat untill he pees. Come back in the house for a few and then take out to PLAY. Also, never use the crate as a punishment. Dogs are den animals and they feel comfortable in their dens. Using for punishment, you will end up with problems of him entering the crate.

SORRY I WAS SO LONG WINDED!
