How do I left my dog out?
I have a new puppy who was a stray. She seems to be a coonhound mix of some sort. She is very high energy and loves to run. The only problem is our next door nighbors dump scraps at the property line that has included hot dogs, buns, and chicken scraps. My dog got a bone and luckily I got it away from her.
She also goes after a pet duck we have. How can I train her to leave the duck alone and stay away from the scraps? We cannot possibly fence our yard in because it’s 3 1/2 acres including some woods. I try to put her on long ropes and take her around the yard but it’s not enough. Any advise you can give me on training and playing with her is appreciated.

OMG what a face!!! She’s beautiful. As far as training her to stay away from pets, food & other things. You must put a long leash and a training collar on her. When she goes to something you don’t want her to pull her towards you and say “Leave It” when she does praise her with treat as well as saying Good Girl!! Your goal is when she is off leash and she goes up to something that she shouldn’t you just say “Leave It” and she does. It will take work and time, but the end result will be all worth it.
