Can you use kitty litter or pine bedding to litter box train your puppy?
I have Chihuahua puppies and I’ve tried using the pellets but they are so big, that it’s hard for the puppies to stand on them. Just wondering if kitty litter or pine bedding with newspaper placed on top of it, would work. I will also be training them to go outside but want to have the litter box available in case, I need to go out for a while and they need to go or if it’s too cold outside or it’s raining. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Check these links. I think you would have more success with this type of product. It looks like grass. The problem with training them to go on newspaper is that they will continue to wet on the paper whether you are finished reading it or not.
