How old should pups be before bathing?
How old should puppies be before having a bath? I have a Oatmeal shampoo and i was wondering if i could use that on them! They are only 4 weeks old? Also how old should they be before i start to house train them. I live in Iowa and its just to cold outside right now to have them outside. Should i just try using my puppy training pads?
I think you should wait at least 2 more weeks before bathing them and when you do you should also dry them because they get chilled very easily at this age. Right now they’re a bit too young.
As for housetraining, at this age their still a bit too young to be trained with pads or to go outside. They’re still babies with no control whatsoever. But when you do start the training process (in a couple of weeks), I’ve never seen the sense in teaching a puppy to use puppy pads unless you want a dog using your house as his bathroom for an entire life time! It’s always easier to teach the puppy to go outside right from the beginning.
