Why does my new puppy only bite me when nobody else is around?
My puppy is a shar pia male and hes only 7 weeks old and we call him leo. He’s taken to house training very well but he still trys chewing the odd few things. But when im in the house with him on my own he comes to me crying so i pick him up to give him a cuddle and he bites me so ill put him down but hes come back for more. Why does he do this with only me? I tell him ‘No’ but he dosent seem to stop with me like he does the others in my house. When we first got him he wasnt biting me at all it wass all of a sudden he turned on me.
You are the only one that has given him so much attention, good or bad, he wants to be with you! He is a puppy and nipping at you is probably his way of playing and saying don’t leave me for so long anymore. He wasn’t biting you before probably because he was younger than now, but he has become attached to you. My friend has a 4 year old shar named cruiser. Very gentle and totally devoted to her as she is him.
