I need advice on Puppy Training!!!?

My puppy is a German Shepard/Husky mix, and she is 5 months old. She is house trained to the point where if she needs to go outside she will come get me and bark or whine at the door until someone takes her out. No matter what she ALWAYS pees if you take her outside, shes is very smart and empties her bladder everytime she gets a chance outside. The only problem we are having is that in the middle of the night she will not wake us up, and she pees on the floor. We have the ‘grass smelling’ puppy pads laid out for her, but she doesn’t always use them. What can I do to get her to stop peeing on the carpet in the middle of the night?

PS. When we take her out we give her a small treat if she does he business, she never gets them inside.

She is still a puppy, and probably can’t hold it all night. And many dogs, no matter what the pee pad smells like, will not use them. And she may be lucky (or you) that she “hits” them! I would set an alarm and get up sometime during the night and take her out, until she can hold it for the whole night. You can also take up her water and food early, so maybe she won’t have to go in the middle of the night. I am sure the older she gets, the longer she will be able to hold it all night.
If she has been going on your carpet, make sure you clean it up thoroughly so you get her scent out or she may start using your carpet during the day because she smells her scent and thinks it is all right to continue. I think a good enzyme cleaner like Nature’s Miracle is the best.
