My poor little birdies!!!?

My Quaker, Krammer, has laid her first egg in about 5 years two days ago. Why? I don’t know. But I have searched google relentlessly and it’s just too vauge. So do any of you know when I should take the egg out? And what should I do until then? Oh and my Sun Conure, Sunny (original…right?), is losing her belly feathers and just has a white fluff there. My vet said that she might be bored because we’ve been spending so much time trying to train the new puppy and haven’t spent much time with her. Suggestions welcome :)

Check if the eggs are fertile by holding it over a light and if you see veins, there is a baby bird on the way! If not, throw them out.
