Puppy Training English Mastiff

All about English Mastiffs..?

So I will be bringing home a 12wk old english mastiff puppy sometime this weekend. I have fine a tin of internet research and know I’m gonna love him. I was just wanting to hear some personal stories or tips on training/advice anything at all from ppl who actually have experience with these dogs
I’m also thinking if making him a inside dog.

I have A Dane. Not the same but close they are related. some Ideas you may want. NEVER let it on the couch. These are lap dogs but will take up the whole family’s laps. Once on the couch or bed that is where they will always be even when they are over 150 lbs. Plant stands make great food stands. You cant find then high enough for a mastiff but you need to lift the food and water so they do not hurt their neck. A Crib mattress makes a great bed. They do need a good bed and the crib mattress I found was only 25.00 not 75.00-100.00 for a pet bed of a good size. Train and take around people allot while a pup. They do not liston well when they are bigger than you. They will but not easily so train while little. and that is before months. They get huge quick. Get a good vet and xrays so you know what to look for in the future with hipdisplasia. Watch the eating if they eat too fast it can cause bloat and that is deadly.
