puppy training delaware
I just don’t want my puppy to run away!?

I grew up in Delaware and now I live in NJ. I have a young puppy that i do’t want to keep on a leash every time i put him outside. Does anyone know of a humane way to train him to stay in the yard? Any suggestions on collars?
I’m really looking for suggestions on collars. I know the logical answer is to get a fence, so if that’s you’re answer…thanks…but i know it’s not irrational to train a dog to stay in a yard…any suggestions?

THEY HAVE THOSE ELECTRIC FENCES AND GATES THAT ARE INVISIBLE, BUT DOG’S WONT CROSS IT. THEY WORK GREAT. YOU SHOULD DEFINETLY LOOK INTO THAT. ME? WITH MY DOG, I JUST NEVER HAD HIM ON A LEASH, AND WAS OUTSIDE WITH HIM FOR ABOUT A YEAR. AFTER THAT, HE WOULD SIT BY THE DOOR WHEN HE WAS READY TO GO OUTSIDE, AND WHEN HE CAME BACK IN, HE WOULD PUSH THE DOOR OPEN, BECAUSE WE WOULD LEAVE IT CRACKED. BUT DEFINTELY TRY THE INVISIBLE GATE/FENCE. GOOD LUCK
