cats, is it good to teach kittens to walk on leash and harness?
I see a book on amazon.com called the Kitten Whisperer. I have new kittens and would like to train them as much as I did my dogs as puppies. Any good suggestions Thanks
I’ve leash trained my older cat and now working on my younger one. I leash trained mainly for my benefit. I couldn’t fathom carrying them around in a carrier every time they go to the vet or a friend’s house. That’s too much weight on my shoulders and arms. It’s much easier to just have them walk themselves.
When we do just go on plain walks, she walks me, I do not walk her. And I don’t mind one bit. I go where she goes, but I have trained her to respond with NO and a quick jerk on the leash if she goes somewhere she isn’t suppose to such as others’ backyard’s, bushes, under vehicles, etc.
People who feel cat’s can’t be leash trained while they are still kittens are just lazy mofo’s who haven’t tried it themselves.
