Training a Labrador Retriever puppy?
I want to teach the puppy that he may sleep on my bed, but not my parents.
Is there a way to let him know that my bed is fine, but my parents’ is off limits?
He also has his own dog bed but can also sleep on my bed if he wants to.
Well, when your puppy wants to jump on your parents bed, say “No!”in a semi-mad voice (if you make it fully mad, it might scare your puppy =P). He may not learn the fact that your parents’ bed off limits the first time, but after a few “No!”‘s, he should begin to understand. And when he jumps on your bed or his own dog bed, say “Good boy!” in a happy, excited voice, so that he knows he’s doing something that’s good.
