training my puppy to pee on peeing pads?

okay so i have an 8 week old puppy and im potty traiing her to go outside, i wanna potty train her now to use the pads. but how hard will it be? she just chews up the pad when she tries to go on it , do puppies poo and pee on the pad or just pee on there ? and is HARTZ a good product for puppy training pads?

Praise does wonders! If you clap and tell her good girl she will continue peeing on the pads because dogs basically live to make you happy and when they see how excited and happy you get they will continue doing it….Now the hard part is the process in between finding the best spot for the pad make sure the pad is in an area not so trafficated pets dont like to pee and poop in front of people so its best to put it against the wall somewhere she is more comfortrable. My 2 yorkies dont like to pee and poop on the same pad so I have placed pads on total opposites of the room although this is a larger room. I dont have a safe back yard to train them to go outside but my friend has trained his dogs to poop outside and it works out just fine they use the pads inside and he has a set time to let them go outside to do there buisness. I noticed that the pads witht he baking soda scent worked better to train my dogs as puppies now they are older and it doesnt matter. I dont recommend HARTZ anything especially shampoo’s but its just a pad I dont think it can do much harm…

Give your puppy a chew toy to discourage the pad chewing perhaps a pad holder would work best for you they run about $25. Good Luck!
