How to train a potty-trained puppy how to pee outside?
My cocker spaniel who is a little over 1 year old has successfully been trained to pee out on the patio on newspaper for the past 9 months. But now we have had to move to an apartment that is much smaller and we will need to actually use the patio and keep it free of puppy waste. So rather than continuing cleaning after the dog on the daily basis, I was hoping I could train her to pee outside on the grassy area downstairs. If anyone has any tips on how to quickly train my dog, I’d really appreciate it! I’ve already tried using the command word we used to teach her to pee on newspaper but it doesn’t seem like she understands at all. She just sniffs and sniffs for hours and almost seems to feel like she’s not allowed to pee outside. Please help!
