I need help potty training my miniature dachshund!?
ASAP! PLEASE! He potty’s everywhere!! I really don’t wanna spend money on buying a dvd telling me how to train my puppy. Does anyone have past experience? Or a free tips website, I’m DESPERITE!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I have experience – I have a mini-wirehaired dachshund that was a pain to housebreak!
First of all, I ALWAYS crate train. That makes the process go a lot smoother, quicker, and cleaner. There’s ALL kinds of information regarding the specifics of crate training online.
Also, just so you know, dachshund bodies mature a lot slower than other dogs similar sizes. Because of this, they do tend to potty train slower than others because they just can’t physically hold it. My male dachshund wasn’t completely trained until he was about a year old. During that time, he was always gated in the kitchen unless I was holding him or he was sitting in my lap. Good luck and keep your patience… Dachshunds are extremely smart and once yours gets it down, it’ll be smooth sailing the rest of it’s life!
