What is orange county florida’s animal leash law?
Last night the neighbor down the street’s dog got out for the second time and chased my cats up the tree in my front yard for the second time. The owner was standing in my yard last night telling me that it was my fault her dog gets out because of my cats and saying that she is going to catch my cats and kill them. She also told me, (my wife and I) that she wasn’t afraid of us and would whip our asses. I told her the next time that dog was in our yard I would kill it. We called the police and the police said we were in the wrong for telling her we were going to kill her dog. That sounds a little fishy to me. Any ideas?
Usually counties dont make those laws. They make laws about handling trouble animals. But things like leash laws are usually a city ordnance. You might check there.

but you might not like the answers. Some cities have leash laws that include cats.
