Help walking and training a dog?
I am living with a co-worker for about 3 months. He and his wife have 2 dogs who spend most of their time chained in the backyard.
I have been trying to spend some time with the dogs twice a day. I walk one of them in the evening. I only take one because they are so out of control walking one is hard enough, and the other doesn’t want to go outside subdivision anyways.
I went to the dog whisperer website to get some tips and he said to make sure you are in front or the dog is on your side so you are the pack leader. How am I supposed to make this dog do this without strangling it with the leash from all its moving around and energy?
What other things can I do to make these dogs behave and train them?
They are not my dogs and I feel bad they are chained in a backyard all the time so I am trying to make their life better plus they are cool dogs and I like them.
They are both female red bone hounds that are about 6 months old.
