How do I turn my dog around on a walk when there are other dogs, with out looking like a looser?
My dog is a Golden Retriever. They are sposed to be really loyal dogs. He is pretty much bred that way. But when he is on a leash he still is loyal. But he always reacts badly when he sees black dogs small or big(definitley big) . Ive had dogs before I had a small Bichon Frise which was white. But on walks he only reacts when they bark at him aggresivley. Whenever dogs bark at him he pulls away from me making me chase after him. He only sniffs the dogs never growls at them. Hes been bitten a couple of times by boarder collies. I have a harness on him and a leather leash thats wrapped around my hand. I also say No sternly when reacts to the dogs. I walk away to. But I want to turn around when i see a dog ahead of time. But i dont want to look like a loser either! Iike im scared of other dogs. Please come up with a good one!!!! 
Maybe you should try a trainer!!!
also, don’t wrap the leash around your hand! If you dog lunges and pulls hard you could do major damage to you hand and bones. Instead, firmly hold the end of the leash in your non dominant hand. At the same time hold the leash in your dominant hand close to your dog so he walks right next to you. Don’t make the leash tight though, give him some slack.

By the way, I don’t think it’s the color that makes your dog act differently. You need a trainer, or at least take an obedience class!!
