Gerard Butler’s Pug Incident – Team Lolita or Team Mayfly?

What do you think happened? I am a big of Gerry but I think that he should have leashed Lolita when taking her for a walk. In NYC at least, it is against the law to walk your dog without a leash. However, I doubt the other couple’s claim that Gerry punched the greyhound just because the dog touched noses with Lolita. But on the other hand, saying that Mayfly is a huge and menacing dog is stretching it too far. Something is just not right with the way the incident was described.

Well from watching the video… Mayfly is pretty big, so I don’t blame Gerry one bit if he pushed the dog to keep it from attacking Lolly again. That being said, he should have had Lolita on a leash but he also stated that it was in a fenced in area so he thought that she would be safe. I think that the couple are just trying to milk this as much as the can. I mean how do you just happen to wander into a fenced in movie set… I think that they were being nosy and just didn’t know what to do when their dog attacked a movie stars. I mean I would have been embarrassed to, but so wouldn’t have gone to this extreme. And I think that it’s fairly stupid that the couple keep pointing out that Lolita could have hurt Mayfly, I mean it’s a 60 pound dog against a 10 pound dog, honestly. And plus retired grey hounds are notorious for attacking small dogs, they should have known that when they adopted Mayfly and put a muzzle on it when they go for walks. The couple should definitely be the ones to apologize, not Gerry. The man may be hot tempered but he wouldn’t just go up and start hitting a dog just because it touched noses with Lolly…. The couples story is way to far fetched ( sorry for the pun, I couldn’t help it ). I think if they end up taking this to court they stand a good chance of loosing the dog. IMHO.
