How do I stop my dog from tugging on her leash?
My 7 month old boxer puppy is terrible on a leash! She keeps wanting to tug and chew on it. I try not to pull back so she won’t think it is a game, but I can’t just let her pull me either so it gets very frustrating. She doesn’t listen when I tell her “no” and I’ve tried using a chain leash so she won’t want to bite it, but she doesn’t care. She has no problem latching on and tugging metal. I also tried putting hot sauce on her nylon leash, but the little weirdo likes hot sauce! I’ve tried just about everything that dogs aren’t supposed to like the taste of (various types of pepper, vinegar, etc.), but she seems to like the taste of it all! She eats or drinks it all and then looks up at me wanting more! How am I supposed to deter her from tugging?
