No dog is too old to train.
Enroll in a good basic obedience class.
If you are referring to housebreaking, it’s actually easier to crate train an older animal as they usually have better bladder control and can hold it longer.
Boxers despite their somewhat fierce appearance are actually teddy bears, make great family dogs. They are lively sturdy and great with kids.
